PREMIERE TALK SEASON 2: EPISIODE 1-In Conversation with Ben Duke, Artistic Director, Lost Dog
Premiere Talk Season 2 is here. In our last season we celebrated the re-opening and returning to live arts. We covered dance, music, theatre, book launches and community festivals. It was a real high for the arts industry in the second half of 2021 to have audiences back in the theatres, artists performing live, rehearsals and meetings in real spaces rather than through digital mediums. Arts students went back to their colleges and universities, and we ended the year on a positive note. This year as London work life and social life slowly adjusts back to pre-pandemic normal, we will explore new creativity across the city. Together we will talk about how we can rethink and reset with art for a better tomorrow. Social and environmental awareness has never been more relevant than today, and we will look at how art and creativity is responding to these themes.

PREMIERE TALK SEASON 1-HIGHLIGHTS (episode10)
In May this year, we launched Premiere Talk, a new programme of short interviews from the arts world. Our intention was to capture the stories of hardship and resilience during the height of the pandemic, from some of the key people in the industry and their hopes for the future of the arts. We spoke to dancers, authors, festival directors and artistic directors of arts venues and companies. Through this we celebrate live arts and the re-opening of our arts venues. With more from the arts, Season 2 is coming soon in 2022!

PREMIERE TALK EP9- In Conversation with Rosemary Richards, Director, Bloomsbury Festival 2021!
Bloomsbury Festival 2021- The annual festival runs 15 – 24 October in venues across Bloomsbury, London • and their theme this year is ‘Shining Light’- An artistic celebration of the communities in Bloomsbury, Central London and around!
Over 100 performances, talks, walks and exhibitions unearth the stories of new arrivals, rebels, women, refugees, cultural groups, freethinkers, alongside ground-breaking science, and contributions from artists and scientists working with people with visual impairments. The 2021 Festival programme places the stories of the people, places and cultures of Bloomsbury in the foreground taking the great creative talent of local established institutions and adding in the emerging talent with new themes and threads – shining light on the tradition of freethinking and celebrating the ‘rebels’ within Bloomsbury and the surrounding areas. Exhibitions and plays about women are featured - those who have been prominent both in the community and internationally, alongside lesser heard women’s voices including some who have been wrongly accused of insurrection and even murder.
The Festival is partnering with local cultures including the Bangladeshi and other South Asian communities to highlight their achievements and artists, also offering a new generation of local young people, the opportunity to work alongside leading creatives. 2021 marks 50 years of Bangladeshi independence and several celebratory events take place during the Festival, including an outdoor event at the British Library and an outdoor exhibition, curated by the community, that tells the stories of migration from Bangladesh to Camden.

Feeding off each other’s creative energy, this innovative duo is bringing a different perspective on what theatre can be and are actively taking it to another level. By making the arts accessible for all and empowering artists who want to change the world, these guys are clearly on a mission to improve on the success Theatre Deli has already had over the last decade! Their dedication in creating spaces and workshops for artists to collaborate together and recover from the negative impact of Covid is honourable and forward-thinking and we share their dream in uncovering and inspiring the next generation of young artists.
